Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable C++ features, improve platform performance, and support critical functionality across NinjaOne’s core product suite.
- Develop and ship endpoint-agent software for macOS and Linux environments.
- Design and evolve high-performance, multi-threaded, and multi-process C++ architectures.
- Define IPC contracts, write design documents, and drive technical decisions with limited supervision.
- Develop comprehensive test cases and test plans covering functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and commit production code.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of systems-level C++ engineering experience, using C++14 or newer; C++17 is preferred.
- Strong Linux systems programming experience, including service management, process management, and inter-process communication.
- Strong macOS systems experience, including Apple Endpoint Security framework, launchd, macOS configuration profiles, or equivalent OS-level configuration APIs.
- Expertise designing and implementing high-performance, multi-threaded applications.
- Experience with CMake and vcpkg, or equivalent C++ build and dependency systems.
- Experience with multi-process C++ architectures and SQLite or embedded database patterns for local state persistence.
- Ability to write design documents, define IPC contracts, make technical decisions with limited supervision, and develop comprehensive tests.
- Experience working with highly critical systems and comfort experimenting with AI tools in the development workflow.
