Responsibilities
- Build and maintain React.js interfaces for the Partner Portal, Shopify onboarding flow, demo site, and Rescale App.
- Design and own Go/Node.js backend services, including API design, authentication, webhook delivery, and PostgreSQL/DynamoDB data.
- Own frontend performance, accessibility, and visual polish across partner-facing surfaces.
- Translate onboarding requirements into end-to-end shipped features with product and partner engineering leads.
- Help establish engineering practices, code review norms, testing, and component/service patterns as the team scales.
- Take ownership from Figma designs through backend database schemas and communicate proactively about risks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building production React.js applications.
- Hands-on experience owning a backend service in Go or Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of state management with Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or React Query and component architecture using hooks, context, and memoization.
- Experience designing REST APIs with versioning, pagination, and idempotency, as well as authentication and webhook systems.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques such as code splitting, lazy loading, and virtualized lists.
- Knowledge of accessibility practices including WCAG 2.1, ARIA, and keyboard navigation.
- Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Preferred experience with Shopify app development, embeddable SDKs/widgets, or e-commerce integrations.
