Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data analytics solutions, reports, and dashboards.
- Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria using Behaviour-Driven Development in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Design and generate realistic datasets to validate analytics solution accuracy, integrity, and performance.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Identify, isolate, and troubleshoot defects, anomalies, and data issues with analysts and developers.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile delivery activities.
- Validate reports and dashboards against business requirements with product owners and stakeholders.
- Mentor team members and contribute to analytics testing strategies, frameworks, and tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Analytics Tester or in a similar data analytics testing role focused on reports and dashboards.
- Strong proficiency in Behaviour-Driven Development techniques, tools, and frameworks, including Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Extensive hands-on experience testing Power BI reports, dashboards, data, and visualizations.
- Proficiency in dataset generation, SQL querying, and data manipulation.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and the testing lifecycle in Agile projects.
- Ability to validate reports and dashboards against business requirements and identify data inconsistencies, anomalies, and discrepancies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Azure DevOps Test Plan experience is advantageous.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks for streamlining testing and regression testing is advantageous.
