Base Salary
$82k - $132k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality and test strategy for an assigned product squad.
- Define acceptance criteria and build testability into features with engineers and product managers.
- Design, develop, and maintain Playwright-based automated tests using Page Object Model patterns.
- Write TypeScript or JavaScript automation and contribute to shared testing frameworks.
- Collaborate on system design, API contracts, and application architecture to support observable and testable behavior.
- Identify, analyze, and eliminate test flakiness while owning test reliability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using smoke and regression tagging strategies.
- Use AI-assisted tools for code generation, test generation, and failure analysis.
- Perform manual and exploratory testing and convert findings into automated coverage.
- Support junior QA team members through code reviews, pairing, and feedback.
- Follow NinjaTrader SDLC and information security standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering and test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Solid experience writing automation in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with Page Object Model or modular test architecture.
- Experience shaping application architecture and API design for reliable automation.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of test design principles and the software testing life cycle.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools in a production QA context.
- Ability to independently own quality for a product area with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication skills and comfort partnering with engineers and product managers.
- Preferred: experience testing real-time or data-intensive web applications, API automation, WCAG accessibility testing, trading platforms, or fintech.

- $82,000–$132,000 base salary plus a 10% annual target bonus.
