Base Salary

$370k - $574k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build recommendation models for video recommendations.
  • Build APIs to serve recommendation models online.
  • Research and leverage LLMs for recommendations and computer vision models for image classification and video understanding.
  • Develop semi-automatic annotation techniques for NLU models with minimal human supervision.
  • Retrain and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models using semi-automatically annotated data.
  • Improve data annotation processes and pipelines for Roku Voice NLU capabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to launch research ideas into Roku product releases.
  • Document work through internal wikis, design documents, demos, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science or a related field.
  • Two years of experience as a Data Scientist, Research Engineer, Technical Lead, or in a related occupation.
  • At least one year of experience with Python and object-oriented programming.
  • At least one year of experience with supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and common machine learning algorithms.
  • At least one year of experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • At least one year of data engineering experience with SQL.
  • At least one year of software engineering experience including version control, testing, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
