Base Salary
$173k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and launch backend systems at scale for partner and merchant integrations.
- Design solutions spanning multiple software components and implement clear, tested, and extensible code.
- Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders while communicating risks and trade-offs.
- Debug code, review other engineers’ work, and help protect systems from downtime.
- Participate in growth and development activities and proactively seek feedback.
Requirements
- Previous work or internship experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Experience using Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to navigate large codebases, debug code, and provide effective code reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
