Base Salary
$250k - $283k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the long-term technical vision and strategy for major components of the platform.
- Design and champion new system architectures focusing on clear interfaces and domain decoupling.
- Establish and improve engineering excellence standards for code quality and performance.
- Identify, define, and lead complex technical programs across multiple engineering teams.
- Make pragmatic technical trade-offs balancing long-term vision with timely delivery.
- Deliver technically deep software solutions with a focus on back-end systems.
- Drive root cause analyses for critical production issues to prevent recurrence.
- Mentor and coach engineers to enhance their technical growth and efficiency.
- Improve accountability for quality standards across the software team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex projects across multiple teams.
- At least 1 year of experience as a staff engineer in a large software organization.
- Deep expertise in architecting and operating distributed, reliable, and scalable systems.
- Ability to influence technical direction and partner with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A relentless drive to reduce complexity and proactively address technical risks.
- Fluency in core tech stack including React, Typescript, Node.js, Python, C++, and Kubernetes is preferred.
