Base Salary
$80k - $128k/yr
Responsibilities
- Validate ESA Section 7 compliance logic, template content, and consultation routing from a software development perspective.
- Develop and maintain application-layer production migration runbook components, including deployment, verification, and rollback procedures.
- Lead remediation and root cause analysis for critical and high-severity application defects.
- Monitor production availability, species-list accuracy, logic performance, and user-reported issues after deployment.
- Implement live consultation feedback through production system updates.
- Contribute to production deployment reports and final operational playbooks.
- Document application-layer operational procedures and maintenance workflows.
- Enforce code review requirements and maintain code in the version-controlled repository.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional experience, master’s degree and 6 years, associate’s degree and 10 years, or high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years of professional experience.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Extensive experience supporting compliance validation activities for federal regulatory systems.
- Experience developing and executing production migration runbooks and rollback procedures.
- Experience with REST API integration and application-layer monitoring for production federal systems.
- Strong defect remediation and root cause analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent backend development languages.
- Preferred: degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- Preferred: experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, AWS cloud data lakehouse architecture, natural-resource agency IT environments, or ESA Section 7 and environmental regulatory systems.
- Active Public Trust clearance is preferred.
