Responsibilities
- Develop and support Financial Information Systems and other University systems.
- Assist with IT project implementation and support involving vendor solutions.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, proof-of-concept and technical demonstrations, documentation, testing, training, and deployment.
- Develop web applications as part of a team.
- Perform ongoing systems monitoring, maintenance, and support.
- Support other IT projects and tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of system development experience in software development and system integration.
- Hands-on experience with Java/JEE as development programming languages.
- Experience with project implementation involving vendor solutions.
- Experience with EJB, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSF, AJAX, React, Python, Node.js, Spring Boot, SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux/Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with Sybase, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, Oracle WebLogic Server, and Apache.
- Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Forms/Reports, PowerBuilder, Microsoft Power Platform, and ETL tools.
- Prior Finance Information Systems experience is highly desirable.
- Experience using AI tools for software development is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, English and Cantonese communication ability, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Shortlisted candidates must sit for a written test.

- Initial appointment is offered on a fixed-term contract of one and a half years.
- Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Candidates with less experience or lower qualifications may be considered for the Analyst Programmer position.
