Responsibilities
- Own projects end-to-end from initial idea through design, analysis, implementation, deployment, and optimization.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize data from various sources to formulate and test hypotheses.
- Design and implement machine learning systems covering training data composition, hyperparameter tuning, post-deployment monitoring, and optimization.
- Develop and productionize machine learning systems for Web Ranking and GenAI surfaces.
- Build upon Gemini foundational models using distillation and fine-tuning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in C++ or Python.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience specializing in a machine learning field such as foundational models, ML infrastructure, or reinforcement learning.
- 3 years of experience with end-to-end machine learning, including model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, and debugging.
- Preferred: PhD or industry research experience in ML, AI, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with full-cycle development and productionization of machine learning systems.
- Preferred: experience distilling and deploying production-grade LLMs.
- Preferred: experience programming in Kotlin.
