Software Engineer III - ( Java, Springboot, AWS)

- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and maintains secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Creates architecture and design artifacts and ensures implementation meets design constraints.
- Uses AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Analyzes large and diverse datasets to produce visualizations and reporting that improve software applications and systems.
- Identifies data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Applies software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering effectiveness.
- Guides peers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and refine generated outputs.
- Expert knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services.
- UI development experience using JavaScript and React.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and the ability to guide peers on safe usage.
- Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
