Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement globally available distributed cloud architectures.
- Develop ETL framework capabilities that shape data from more than 50 producers for dozens of consumers.
- Own schema evolution across Iceberg, Glue Registry, and DataZone while enforcing platform patterns.
- Define reference architectures, templates, blueprints, infrastructure standards, and data-quality frameworks.
- Partner with domain and consumer teams across Amazon Leo Commerce, Networking, and Satellite organizations.
- Own operational excellence through monitoring, alarming, dead-letter queue and retry handling, and incident root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to cross-functional engineering work including UAT automation and data-handling features for Accounting.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, lawfully admitted refugee, or person granted asylum due to export-control requirements.
