Base Salary
$160k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX
- Create applications that improve SpaceX’s operations
- Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints
- Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
- Analyze users’ problems and create efficient solutions
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews
- Integrate electronics design software with manufacturing equipment
- Interface software solutions with external APIs and hardware
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a science discipline plus 5+ years of professional software development experience, or 7+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of programming experience in C#/.NET, Java, Python, or a similar language
- 3+ years of rigorous experience building full-stack applications
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Frontend experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies
- Experience with in-stream data processing using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring
- Expertise in profiling and improving application performance
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR citizenship, residency, refugee, asylee, or authorization requirements
