Responsibilities
- Lead the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of planetary-scale data ingestion and indexing platforms.
- Own technical strategy for tenant isolation, multi-cloud deployments, isolated cloud, FedRAMP, BYOK encryption, and data residency.
- Evolve distributed indexing pipelines for high throughput, low latency, freshness, context relevance, and AI-agent retrieval workloads.
- Align ML, data, cloud infrastructure, and product teams while building shared platform capabilities.
- Improve ingestion throughput, data freshness, reliability, sharding, storage disaggregation, and compute efficiency.
- Advance retrieval architectures, vector and hybrid indexing, and agentic memory patterns.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-grade platforms with tenant isolation, multi-cloud deployments, compliance frameworks, FedRAMP, BYOK, data residency, and zero-downtime migrations.
- Proven experience designing and operating large-scale distributed data pipelines, search or indexing systems, or streaming platforms.
- Experience with systems such as Kafka, Flink, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, object-store-backed indexing, and vector search.
- Strong cross-functional influence, collaboration, and independent execution across multiple teams and systems.
- Track record of making fast, pragmatic technical trade-offs while managing long-term technical debt.
- Familiarity with systems supporting AI agents and safe, pragmatic agentic engineering practices.
