Base Salary
$90k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support large-scale Java-based enterprise applications and global platforms.
- Lead the architecture and implementation of cloud-native, microservices-based solutions.
- Build high-volume, low-latency applications and distributed systems with stringent availability and performance objectives.
- Develop REST APIs and event-driven services for global business operations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive engineering best practices.
- Implement CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, and software quality practices.
- Support platform reliability through monitoring, observability, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Apply secure coding standards, authentication, encryption, authorization, and data protection controls for regulated data.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and integrate AI-powered capabilities where appropriate.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and event-driven applications.
- Experience building cloud-native applications and deploying solutions on cloud platforms, with GCP preferred.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading incident resolution.
- Experience working with highly regulated data and implementing security controls and OWASP best practices.
- Preferred experience integrating AI/LLM solutions, RAG architectures, AI agents, or AI-powered automation.
- Preferred experience with Google Cloud Spanner or other globally distributed databases and with multi-region or multi-cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of SRE, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and operational readiness practices is preferred.
- Architecture, Cloud, Kubernetes, Security, or SRE certifications are preferred.
