Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Write, review, and debug code while contributing to system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, and incident analysis.
  • Establish validation standards for AI-assisted outputs, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
  • Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve software and system stability.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectures, technical capabilities, and applicability to existing systems.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on Python software development experience with Django, FastAPI, or Flask, plus relational databases, NoSQL, and microservice-based architecture.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and practical cloud-native experience.
  • Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
  • Ability to implement business solutions, learn new technologies, and drive innovation.
