Base Salary
$295k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Tech lead the engineering team and guide technical decisions across teams and organizations.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, highly available backend systems supporting hundreds of millions of users.
- Own critical User Connections features including profiles, names, online presence, friending, and co-play tools.
- Define and drive the team’s technical and product roadmap, including zero-to-one features and company-level user engagement objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to build platform features for user identity and expression.
- Enforce high quality standards, mentor engineers, and raise the team’s capabilities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting highly available, large-scale, distributed, and fault-tolerant production services.
- Extensive knowledge of server-side architecture and design principles.
- Proficiency in compiled languages such as C#, Java, C++, or equivalent languages.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with social products is a bonus.
