
Senior Software Engineer, Platform Engineering

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain platform services, APIs, SDKs, and internal tools used across engineering teams.
- Own platform services end to end, from design and implementation through production operation and continuous improvement.
- Design and improve CI/CD workflows and developer automation for usability, efficiency, security, compliance, and developer experience.
- Apply distributed-systems and backend-engineering principles to build scalable and resilient services and APIs.
- Build Kubernetes abstractions, APIs, custom controllers, and operators.
- Own observability, debugging, incident response, and post-mortems for production services and tools.
- Drive adoption of platform patterns and create ADRs, runbooks, and developer-facing documentation.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js for production APIs, services, developer tools, and developer-facing UIs using React or similar.
- Strong software-engineering fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, production backend services, scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
- Working proficiency with metrics, logging, distributed tracing, SLI/SLO frameworks, incident response, and production service ownership.
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, including software abstractions, APIs, custom controllers, and operators.
- Strong proficiency designing and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Working proficiency with Terraform, Pulumi, GitOps practices, and cloud-native environments.
- Strong communication, influence, documentation, adoption, and technical-translation skills.
- Preferred experience building internal developer platforms, developer portals, self-service tooling, or platform-as-a-product initiatives.
- Preferred experience with LLM APIs, intelligent automation, AI-assisted developer tooling, and agentic patterns.
- Preferred proficiency with cloud security practices, IAM, secrets handling, encryption, HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, or FinOps.
