Responsibilities
- Help Neo4j engineers develop, test, and run database, service, and integration changes in Aura.
- Improve developer workflows, documentation, tooling, onboarding, and incubation experiences.
- Partner with Software Delivery and platform teams without owning the delivery platform.
- Maintain AI skill files and agent instructions for coding agents.
- Evaluate AI workflows based on quality, cost, failure modes, and developer productivity.
- Identify internal developer pain points and iterate on tools and documentation using observed usage.
Requirements
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience using Golang across scripting and larger microservice-type software projects, including knowledge of the Golang build and packaging system.
- Solid software engineering experience shipping developer-facing tools such as CLIs, libraries, internal platforms, or services.
- Kubernetes and container literacy, including Pods, Deployments, Docker images, and deploying software to a cluster.
- Experience with modern CI/CD and Git-based workflows.
- Clear technical writing skills.
- Ability to understand other developers’ pain points and design solutions for them.
- Preferred experience with platform-as-a-product or developer experience work, AI agent skill files and instructions, MCP servers, Kubernetes developer tooling, cloud integrations, and observability.
