Responsibilities
- Build and improve high-performance data pipelines and processing systems.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to develop tools supporting research workflows.
- Optimize system performance through profiling, debugging, and architectural improvements.
- Build shared tools and infrastructure that improve research efficiency and shorten iteration cycles.
- Bridge research prototypes and production-grade systems.
- Contribute to real production systems through full-cycle software development.
Requirements
- Solid foundation in C++ and Python programming.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, memory management, operating systems, compilers, computer architecture, and networking.
- Interest in systems programming and how software interacts with hardware, including OS internals, process scheduling, I/O, and caching.
- Comfort working in a Linux environment and contributing clean, efficient, maintainable code to collaborative codebases.
- Ability to translate research requirements into robust software solutions.
- Strong learning ability, intellectual curiosity, communication skills, and reliable availability.
- Finance or economics experience is not required.
- Helpful qualifications include performance optimization or low-latency systems experience, HPC or distributed computing familiarity, Pandas or NumPy exposure, statistical methods, and prior software development experience.
