Responsibilities
- Build and use automation frameworks for web-based applications using Java or C#.
- Perform in-sprint automation and identify, review, and execute test cases and testing results.
- Transform complex requirements into test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and configure virtual machines, test suites, and test runners.
- Conduct manual testing of web and Windows-based applications across sanity, functional, integration, exploratory, and system testing types.
- Prepare test strategies, test plans, test reports, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Test web services and APIs using Postman, REST Assured, JSON Lint, and SOAP UI.
- Write medium-complex SQL queries, including joins and subqueries.
- Use defect tracking and test management tools and analyze testing risks.
- Work with global delivery teams and contribute to product quality and automation coverage.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in QA and automation testing.
- Expertise in automation testing of web-based applications and experience with Selenium, SpecFlow, BDD, Protractor, or WebDriverIO.
- Hands-on programming experience with C#, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Git or another version control tool and with CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Strong understanding of manual testing, SDLC, STLC, test strategy, test planning, requirements traceability, and test reporting.
- Experience testing web services using JSON, XML, REST, Postman, REST Assured, JSON Lint, and SOAP UI.
- Hands-on SQL experience for medium-complex queries such as joins and subqueries.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, TFS/MTM, or Bugzilla and test management tools such as TFS/MTM or ALM.
- Experience creating and configuring virtual machines for automation and test runners.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, writing, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience testing LIMS is an added advantage; knowledge of performance testing and security testing is desirable.
