Responsibilities

  • Configure, build, integrate, and support application solutions across multiple systems, platforms, modules, and workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions aligned with product backlogs and enterprise standards.
  • Design and troubleshoot interfaces, integrations, and data flows between applications.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios and scripts, validate functionality, and support implementations, upgrades, and post-deployment activities.
  • Analyze application workflows, system usage, performance, and operational metrics to identify and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with product teams, technical engineers, vendors, clinicians, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Create functional specifications, knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and other documentation.
  • For senior openings, own end-to-end backlog delivery, lead complex issue resolution and testing efforts, and mentor engineers.
  • Support solutions across clinical, imaging, revenue, and other operational domains.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Applications Engineer openings require 5–7 years of experience in application support, application analysis, or related IT roles.
  • Senior Applications Engineer openings require 7+ years of experience in application engineering, application support, or related IT roles.
  • Experience with application configuration, system workflows, business processes, integrations, interfaces, and data flow.
  • Experience troubleshooting application issues and supporting or leading testing, implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions and manage moderately complex or complex issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
  • Senior candidates should demonstrate informal leadership through mentoring, peer guidance, and contributions to standards and best practices.
  • Preferred qualifications include PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting; APIs, web services, middleware, automation or RPA tools; JavaScript; SQL; cloud and SaaS environments; DevOps, version control, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
  • Healthcare or complex enterprise workflow experience and familiarity with Agile or product-oriented delivery models are preferred.
