Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Implement and manage deployment pipelines and monitor applications for reliability and anomalies.
  • Lead system design, code reviews, standards enforcement, performance tuning, root cause analysis, and production support.
  • Develop automated testing frameworks and incorporate AI-driven testing techniques where applicable.
  • Optimize database queries and application performance while ensuring high availability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities or third-party AI services into backend applications where applicable.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote modern engineering and AI-enabled development practices.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product managers.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of hands-on software development experience building and designing robust backend systems.
  • Mandatory experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
  • Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques or methods.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
