Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze requirements and translate business needs into technical designs and architectures.
  • Design and develop user interfaces for web, mobile, and tablet platforms.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and create specifications supporting business objectives.
  • Develop prototypes, demos, APIs, microservices, and platform extensibility models.
  • Solve distributed-systems problems involving scheduling, resource management, messaging, distributed caching, and infrastructure automation.
  • Apply machine learning and generative AI systems to real-world business problems, including building agents.
  • Create automation for testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
  • Build data visualizations and world-class user experiences across multiple interfaces.
  • Teach clients how to build and deliver commercial software and services at scale.
  • Participate in an agile delivery process and build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Travel regularly as needed to meet with clients.
  • Potentially lead and grow technical talent, including software engineering managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a four-year program.
  • Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Temporal.
  • Knowledge of generative AI and building agents.
  • Ability to design and implement robust APIs and microservices using Java, Python, FastAPI, and OpenAPI.
  • Experience integrating authentication and authorization with Keycloak, OAuth2, OIDC, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as D3, Highcharts, Plotly.js, and Ember Charts.
  • Experience with commercial dashboards including Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
  • Experience with test-driven development and unit testing.
  • Knowledge of frontend performance best practices and experience working in complex codebases.
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery, software engineering processes, cloud architectures, and distributed-systems architectures.
  • Excellent communication, client relationship, problem-solving, critical-thinking, collaboration, and learning skills.
  • Experience leading and growing technical talent is desirable for software engineering management responsibilities.

Benefits

  • Base salary is $102,500 to $187,900 for all US geographic locations, with a separate range of $122,900 to $213,400 for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento.

  • Paid time off includes flexible vacation, EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence.
  • Hybrid work model; most external client-serving employees are expected to work in person 40–60% of the time during an engagement, project, or year.
  • The role is location-open within the country, may involve regular client travel, and accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
