Base Salary

$155k - $260k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Scale Samsara’s in-house CI/CD systems for increased pull-request throughput.
  • Build AI-assisted workflows, orchestration systems, and agent harnesses that reduce developer toil and technical debt.
  • Design deployment safeguards, production validation, monitoring, automated response, and rollback systems.
  • Build observability, evaluation, and feedback systems for AI-driven automation.
  • Define AI-native software delivery practices that improve engineering throughput without compromising safety, quality, or reliability.
  • Partner with product engineering teams to make safe AI-enabled delivery practices easy to adopt across the company.
  • Experiment with emerging AI capabilities and turn successful approaches into production-ready platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction for developer productivity and software delivery engineering.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience designing and building products in a software engineering team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience on developer experience, CI/CD, and/or platform engineering teams.
  • Experience building AI workflows, orchestration systems, or AI harnesses, including orchestrating multiple AI agents at scale.
  • Experience architecting CI/CD systems, build and deployment platforms, and automated response workflows, including Buildkite or equivalent software.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise software applications and maintaining an organization’s software development lifecycle and DevEx.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Experience implementing AI-driven automation across the SDLC and routinely applying AI tools in engineering workflows.
  • Strong coding experience in Go, Python, or an equivalent language, focused on infrastructure, deployment, and operations.
  • Strong leadership, technical vision, and direction-setting skills.
  • Preferred experience building in-house CI/CD systems and supporting FedRAMP, StateRAMP, or other compliance requirements.
