Responsibilities
- Develop and prototype software and hardware platforms involving sensors, connected cloud services, mobile applications, and in-vehicle technologies.
- Support projects from ideation and concept development through prototype creation, testing, and validation.
- Program and develop mobile, embedded, and connected applications using modern software technologies.
- Build proof-of-concept solutions and prototypes that can evolve into production-ready products.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and innovative solutions for connected customer experiences.
- Collaborate with Nissan, Alliance partners, research teams, and third-party organizations on connected-services initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and ability to provide an official or unofficial transcript for verification.
- Strong programming skills in C++ or Java.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, motivation to learn, and interest in developing technical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, California.
- Preferred experience with machine learning and signal processing involving vehicle sensor, biosensing, video, or similar data.
- Preferred experience integrating sensors and human-machine interfaces, developing mobile or desktop applications, or supporting human-subject experimentation and user studies.
- Preferred experience with Android or iOS development and 3D computer graphics programming or modeling tools.
- Preferred familiarity with connected-vehicle technologies, cloud services, and emerging mobility solutions.
