Responsibilities
- Own data pipelines end to end, including design, testing, deployment, monitoring, and remediation.
- Ensure the availability and quality of assigned data domains through implemented and monitored validations.
- Deliver regulatory reports within the required deadlines for Chilean, Argentine, and Colombian regulators.
- Resolve production incidents autonomously and escalate when impact warrants it.
- Document systems so another engineer can operate them independently.
Requirements
- Completed university education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience.
- Technical knowledge of data modeling, concurrency, APIs, and version control.
- Production experience building and maintaining AWS Glue and PySpark jobs.
- Advanced SQL skills and ability to define transactional and data warehouse models.
- Experience with S3 data lakes, including partitioning, columnar formats, and file-size management.
- Experience orchestrating workflows with Step Functions, EventBridge, or an equivalent, including retries and dependencies.
- Habitual use of Git and code review, with testing of data transformation logic.
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Basic knowledge of AWS ML/AI services including SageMaker and Bedrock.
