Responsibilities
- Define overall Windchill integration architecture for PLM programs.
- Select appropriate real-time versus batch, event-based versus lifecycle-driven, and API-based versus middleware-based integration patterns.
- Design scalable, secure, fault-tolerant integrations for ERP, MES, manufacturing, reporting, and external application systems.
- Architect integrations using REST/OData services, Info*Engine, ESI, and middleware frameworks.
- Review and approve integration designs, mappings, and technical specifications.
- Lead object-level integration mapping for parts, bills of materials, documents, visualizations, changes, promotions, and lifecycle events.
- Ensure alignment with PLM processes including Release to Manufacturing, Change Management, and EBOM-to-MBOM publishing.
- Provide technical leadership to Integration Consultants, Windchill Developers, and middleware teams.
- Support SIT, UAT, production cutover, and hypercare, and troubleshoot complex production integration issues.
- Lead integration workshops and technical discussions with customer IT teams.
- Explain integration tradeoffs, risks, and performance considerations.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of PTC Windchill experience is required; the posting also describes typical experience as 8–12 years of PLM experience focused on integrations.
- Deep expertise in PTC Windchill PLM and hands-on experience with PDMLink, ESI, Change Management, and MPMLink as applicable.
- Strong understanding of the Windchill data model and object relationships.
- Proven experience architecting integrations with REST/OData APIs, Info*Engine, ESI, and middleware platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience designing high-volume, secure, fault-tolerant integrations.
- Automotive, manufacturing, or medical-device domain experience is preferred.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead mid-sized to large teams and work effectively with clients and under pressure.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
