Base Salary

$121k - $171k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-throughput, low-latency Java microservices for Money Market trading, funding, and trade lifecycle management.
  • Partner with Markets Treasury desks, product managers, and management teams to define enhancements and align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Provide application architecture and design leadership consistent with enterprise architecture, security standards, and cloud-native principles.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex performance issues across application flows, MongoDB queries, data ingestion pipelines, messaging, and API layers.
  • Establish standards for clean coding, unit, integration, and performance testing, debugging, and automated deployment.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, allocate work, conduct code reviews, and serve as a technical advisor.
  • Assess technology and business risks, support regulatory compliance, protect organizational and client assets, and escalate control issues.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on application development and technical leadership experience in financial services, preferably focused on Markets Treasury, Money Markets, and trade lifecycle management.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Core Java 17+ and the Spring Boot ecosystem, including Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
  • Strong MongoDB experience including document modeling, aggregation, indexing, sharding, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of PAA, PnL calculation and attribution, accrual accounting, amortization, yield calculations, and IRDL and CRDL risk calculations.
  • Experience integrating trading and treasury platforms with downstream ledger, accounting, books-and-records, and financial reconciliation systems.
  • Experience diagnosing performance issues across databases, messaging ingestion, APIs, and end-to-end application flows.
  • Expertise designing resilient, scalable, observable services in cloud or containerized environments, with distributed caching and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Scrum or Agile methodologies, JIRA, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, consensus-building, project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.

  • Primary location salary range is $120,800.00-$170,800.00.
