Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support scalable enterprise applications, APIs, services, microservices, integrations, and reusable software frameworks.
- Own end-to-end delivery of software features from design through deployment and production support.
- Build cloud-native applications and contribute to technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and technology decisions.
- Design and implement data integrations, pipelines, and services supporting business and AI initiatives.
- Develop and deploy production AI-powered application features, including RAG, semantic search, document intelligence, and AI-assisted automation.
- Integrate LLMs and AI services into business applications and workflows, and implement prompt engineering, testing, evaluation, monitoring, and optimization practices.
- Apply security, privacy, governance, responsible AI, quality, maintainability, scalability, and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, drive continuous improvement, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend engineering improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Data Engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor Associate Software Engineers and contribute to reusable frameworks, engineering standards, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience developing enterprise applications with Python and/or Java.
- Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and modern user interfaces with React or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and API integration patterns.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Azure DevOps, containerization, and automated deployments.
- Understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, testing methodologies, and secure development practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience building and deploying enterprise or production Generative AI solutions using LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and RAG.
- Preferred experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, OpenAI APIs, or equivalent platforms.
- Preferred understanding of prompt engineering, AI evaluation, model monitoring, observability, Agentic AI, AI workflow orchestration, and data pipelines for AI and machine learning workloads.
- Exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, vector databases, and modern enterprise data platforms is preferred.
