Responsibilities
- Build highly interactive applications that scale with application complexity.
- Create tools, libraries, and frameworks for other developers.
- Apply new technologies to improve platform functionality.
- Write clean, scalable, reusable code and uphold software engineering architecture and process best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners and own code from design through delivery.
- Design simple, extensible software that lets customers customize functionality.
- Contribute to new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite.
- Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related discipline; bachelor's degree holders need 5+ years of software industry experience.
- Significant experience designing and implementing highly interactive, high-volume applications.
- Expertise with Java, JUnit, JSON, relational databases, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, and JavaScript.
- Competence in software design, usability, and scalability.
- Python experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes DevOps and pipeline maintenance, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, microservices architecture, and monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.
