Responsibilities
- Understand designs and requirements and develop and execute custom application features and functions.
- Break business requirements into MVPs and user stories.
- Apply commercial cards and credit card processing expertise to design and implementation decisions.
- Own end-to-end solution design aligned with platform roadmaps and enterprise architecture strategy.
- Provide architecture direction and leadership to teams and stakeholders.
- Build relationships with sponsors to support business strategy and technology roadmaps.
- Manage, escalate, and mitigate risks and issues while ensuring architecture governance and standards.
- Mentor and support colleagues and communicate technology trends.
- Design full-stack solutions across web, application, API, and orchestration layers.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience developing and maintaining complex banking applications such as credit card processing.
- Significant financial services or related-industry experience; commercial cards experience is preferred.
- Experience delivering solutions as a subject matter expert or in roles beyond architecture.
- Proven ability to deliver collaboratively in a matrixed organization and resolve conflicts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of or certification in at least one cloud platform, preferably GCP; cloud certification is expected.
- Awareness of infrastructure, integration, data, messaging, or security concepts.
- Full-stack solution design skills across web, application, API, and orchestration.
- Very good knowledge of Vision Plus and mainframe systems.
- Very good knowledge of Python and data engineering concepts in GCP.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with resilient and highly available design.
- Cybersecurity mindset, ownership, flexibility, pragmatism, networking ability, and cultural sensitivity.
