Responsibilities
- Understand design and requirements and develop and execute custom application features and functions.
- Design, code, test, and debug Java Spring Boot applications in cloud environments.
- Create estimates for small- to medium-sized projects and produce high-level designs.
- Analyze and develop code according to specifications.
- Review designs, code, and unit test results.
- Follow standards and controls to ensure quality outcomes.
- Support production deployments and post-development implementation activities.
- Provide application support and participate in and drive crisis calls for production incidents.
- Identify and implement system performance improvements.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, with the ability to design and implement microservices using Spring Boot.
- Experience with microservices architecture and a thorough understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with OAuth, JWT, XML, RAML, Swagger, JSON, SOAP, and XSLT.
- Hands-on experience developing and using continuous integration pipelines with Jenkins, Maven, and other DevOps tools.
- Knowledge and experience with DevOps and Agile disciplines, Confluence, JIRA, and Unix/Linux.
- Strong experience writing complex SQL queries.
- Cloud technology and cloud application support experience; GCP knowledge is appreciated.
- Strong knowledge of databases including Cloud SQL, PostgreSQL, and BigQuery.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork, and a focus on product quality.
