Base Salary
$130k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Rebuy’s centralized billing system for merchant billing and partner payments.
- Implement secure, well-structured APIs in PHP and Go for billing events and payment processing.
- Lead the migration of the Code Igniter 2 codebase to Code Igniter 4.
- Identify opportunities for AI automation in workflows and build backend systems to support it.
- Contribute to the engineering culture by establishing best practices and frameworks.
- Champion security-first engineering across all systems.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards of code and performance.
- Collaborate with team members to define requirements and drive solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend applications with PHP and Go.
- Experience with billing, payments, or financial systems in a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of secure, scalable RESTful API design.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably GCP.
- Experience in a Scrum/Agile environment and with the Atlassian suite.
- Solid understanding of security fundamentals for backend systems.
