Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-scale AWS Glue-based data integration solutions for cloud-native applications and Data Mesh platforms.
- Lead serverless integration architectures using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, and AWS Glue.
- Develop and optimize AWS Glue ETL jobs using Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
- Design metadata-driven, configuration-over-code integration frameworks using JSON schemas and reusable patterns.
- Build event-driven integration pipelines supporting JDBC, REST APIs, SFTP, and messaging-based integrations.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK with TypeScript and AWS CloudFormation.
- Lead multi-tenant architecture decisions and cross-account deployment strategies across AWS environments.
- Develop backend services in TypeScript and Python for serverless applications.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams on requirements, architecture reviews, and solution demonstrations.
- Ensure security, governance, monitoring, operational excellence, performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Mentor development teams and establish cloud integration architecture and automation best practices.
- Use GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to improve engineering productivity and accelerate software delivery.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience designing and implementing AWS cloud integration solutions; the posting also states a minimum of 7.5 years of experience.
- Strong AWS Glue experience covering ETL development, data transformation, workflow orchestration, and enterprise data integration.
- Extensive experience with AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Athena, Amazon SQS, and AWS CodeBuild.
- Experience with AWS CDK using TypeScript and AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning.
- Knowledge of Amazon Cognito, AWS WAF, AWS Certificate Manager, Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon SageMaker.
- Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, and TypeScript.
- Experience developing serverless applications and backend services with AWS Lambda and TypeScript.
- Expertise optimizing and troubleshooting AWS Glue ETL jobs using Python and PySpark.
- Knowledge of Data Mesh architecture, metadata-driven integration, configuration-over-code design, and JSON schema design.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, REST APIs, JDBC, SFTP, asynchronous messaging, multi-tenant platforms, and cross-account AWS deployments.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Knowledge of cloud automation, deployment strategies, performance optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and SDLC practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education.
