Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems and opportunities and prepare technical specifications, estimates, and project-level development objects.
  • Evaluate solution options and provide buy-versus-build recommendations.
  • Develop and support QNXT solutions across claims processing, member and provider data, benefits, and configuration-driven workflows.
  • Troubleshoot complex QNXT application, interface, transaction, and data issues, including root-cause analysis, defect resolution, and production support.
  • Create, review, and execute unit test plans, integration test scenarios, and validation activities.
  • Manage development, testing support, defect remediation, deployment readiness, and status reporting.
  • Provide application and code expertise to development, testing, and business teams.
  • Coordinate vendor solution delivery and collaborate with vendors, business analysts, testers, architects, and junior developers.
  • Provide direction and assistance to junior staff and communicate technical decisions, impacts, and results to stakeholders.
  • Identify, communicate, and implement department best practices.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of QNXT development experience.
  • Hands-on QNXT experience with claims interfaces, claims conversions, and 837 inbound transactions.
  • Experience with current QNXT integrated solutions and healthcare payer transaction standards and data flows.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications, data mapping documents, interface designs, and development-ready requirements.
  • Experience independently managing technical deliverables and supporting testing, validation, defect remediation, deployment readiness, and production support.
  • Experience with software development tools such as Rational.
  • Experience applying testing methodologies within major development languages.
  • Experience with at least one major database system, such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata.
  • Significant experience with at least one development language or platform, such as COBOL, Java, Siebel, Pega, J-Caps, or Ab Initio.
  • Experience partnering with vendors and managing or participating in projects.
  • Strong technical communication, relationship management, analytical, problem-solving, judgment, initiative, and accountability skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or mathematics, or an associate degree in computer science.
