Base Salary
$195k - $293k/yr
Responsibilities
- Refine and execute the payments strategy while bringing more core payments capabilities in-house.
- Design and implement payout solutions across the full lifecycle from ideation through launch and iteration.
- Build and scale payments infrastructure for ledgering, money movement, and disbursement.
- Own technical decisions and architectural direction while anticipating future use cases and minimizing future change costs.
- Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance, and advocate for codebase improvements.
- Lead projects from conception to completion and keep stakeholders and teams aligned with project goals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in payment systems, including areas such as checkout/payment methods, payouts, ledgering, reconciliation, interchange, or KYC/onboarding.
- Track record of building and shipping impactful payment features and architecting scalable services and systems.
- Ability to lead projects from conception through completion while balancing technical trade-offs, business needs, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong experience analyzing, diagnosing, and preventing performance problems, including application performance monitoring and log analytics.
- Preferred experience with Spring Boot, Kotlin, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, GraphQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Prior experience on a ledgering, payouts, or money-movement team at scale is preferred.
