Responsibilities
- Automate web application testing and build or use automation frameworks with Java or C#.
- Perform both manual and automated testing, approximately in a 60:40 ratio.
- Identify and review test cases and results, and transform complex requirements into test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Prepare test strategies, test plans, requirement traceability matrices, test reports, and risk analyses.
- Conduct sanity, functional, integration, exploratory, system, web-service, and other testing activities.
- Create virtual machines and configure automation test suites and test runners.
- Test web services using tools including Postman, REST Assured, JSON Lint, and SoapUI.
- Manage defects and tests using tools such as Jira, TFS/MTM, Bugzilla, and ALM.
- Collaborate with global engineering and delivery teams and participate in Agile development processes.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of experience in automation testing, especially for web applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
- Expertise with automation testing and frameworks using Java or C#; experience with Selenium, SpecFlow, BDD, or Protractor.
- Hands-on programming experience with C#, Java, and Python.
- Experience with manual testing of web and Windows-based applications and multiple testing types.
- Proficiency with Git or another version-control tool.
- Hands-on SQL experience, including medium-complexity joins and subqueries.
- Understanding of JSON, XML, REST, web-service testing, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TFS/MTM, Bugzilla, and ALM.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, flexibility, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing is desirable.
- Prior LIMS testing experience is an advantage.
