Base Salary
$265k - $331k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own deployment architecture, service isolation, and blast-radius containment.
- Own the ECS and EKS container footprint and design inter-service networking improvements.
- Build data-driven capacity planning and trustworthy autoscaling for spiky workloads.
- Develop a Terraform self-service infrastructure platform with appropriate guardrails.
- Establish per-team cost attribution and controls across AWS, Datadog, and LLM spending.
- Own Python runtime performance, dependency health, framework upgrades, garbage collection, and event-loop behavior.
- Provide technical direction through architecture reviews, runbooks, and paved-road tooling across engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or SRE roles at companies handling significant production traffic.
- Deep AWS expertise and production ownership of compute and networking at scale, including ECS, EKS, RDS, networking, and IAM.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience, particularly with Terraform, including self-service platforms for engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with autoscaling, capacity engineering, and container orchestration using ECS and/or EKS.
- Demonstrated success making deployments safe and self-service for other engineering teams.
- Staff-level influence and the ability to drive cross-team technical decisions without management authority.
- Preferred qualifications include FinOps and cloud cost optimization, Kubernetes and EKS depth, Datadog observability at scale, healthcare or regulated-environment experience, and event-driven systems experience.
