Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and debug the StockX Android application using Android Studio.
- Build GraphQL APIs that interact with backend services and REST APIs.
- Use Clean Architecture, MVVM, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Build modern, scalable user interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
- Own initiatives from start to finish, including A/B testing.
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, program managers, and engineering managers to clarify requirements and propose scalable technical solutions.
- Propose and adopt engineering best practices and guide development standards.
- Apply security, scalability, reliability, and performance considerations.
- Communicate with stakeholders and users to resolve issues.
- Document new features, additions, and bug fixes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Android development experience.
- Good understanding of the Android platform and common conventions.
- Experience with Kotlin, Android Studio, and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working on cross-functional product teams is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to say no.
