Responsibilities
- Design and run measurements on distributed systems and large-scale Linux clusters.
- Measure compute, network, and ML workload performance.
- Analyze performance, reliability, variability, and repeatability of results.
- Improve systems that execute measurements at scale.
- Use and extend pytest-based tools for measurement execution.
- Interpret findings and provide clear, evidence-based conclusions about production readiness.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience gained across multiple projects or systems over several years.
- Experience working in Linux-based environments, ideally with distributed or high-performance systems.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with automation and CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Ability to design, implement, and run experiments or tests that produce meaningful results.
- Ability to interpret results and communicate findings clearly for decision-making.
- Comfort working with ambiguous requirements and applying engineering judgment.
- Experience with large-scale or distributed systems such as clusters, cloud platforms, or HPC environments is desirable.
- Experience with performance, reliability, or systems-level testing and measurement is desirable.
- Familiarity with pytest or similar frameworks is desirable.
- Experience analyzing system behavior under compute, network, or ML workloads is desirable.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenStack is desirable.
- Proficiency in additional application programming languages such as C++ is desirable.
- Exposure to data analysis, statistics, or interpreting variability in results is desirable.
