Responsibilities
- Deliver business capabilities through solution architecture while adhering to architecture principles and governance.
- Design end-to-end core banking solutions addressing scalability, security, performance, and system integration.
- Lead solution architecture for core banking modernization and migration initiatives, including current-state assessment, target architecture, migration and cutover strategy, data conversion, and legacy-target coexistence.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with business analysts, developers, and project managers.
- Provide detailed microservices designs using domain-driven design, bounded contexts, and appropriate service granularity.
- Work hands-on with engineering teams to advise on complex coding issues and resolutions.
- Manage design and implementation challenges, make architecture-based decisions, simplify complex requirements, and provide alternative designs.
- Mentor and coach staff or teams while influencing stakeholders toward consensus.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in technology solution implementation, technology solutioning, or core banking architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience with microservices architecture, messaging using MQ or Kafka, Java/J2EE, cloud and infrastructure setup, and end-to-end technology solution or project implementation for a bank.
- Experience in application or solution architecture within financial services, preferably focused on core banking domains such as customer, deposits, or loans.
- Strong written, verbal, visualization, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across organizational levels.
- Ability to work effectively across an organization, influence stakeholders, and drive independent architectural views on projects.
- Strong situational analysis, decision-making, reliability, trustworthiness, and commitment orientation.
- Experience defining architecture principles, technology stacks, solution designs, and technology solution diagrams.
- Experience mentoring or coaching staff or teams.
