Responsibilities
- Deliver business capabilities through end-to-end solution architecture while adhering to architecture principles and governance.
- Design scalable, secure, performant, and integrated core banking solutions.
- Lead core banking modernization and migration design, including current-state assessment, target architecture, migration and cutover strategy, data conversion, and legacy-target coexistence.
- Gather requirements with business analysts, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide detailed microservices designs using domain-driven design, bounded contexts, and appropriate service granularity.
- Work hands-on with engineering teams to advise on complex coding, implementation issues, and resolutions.
- Resolve design and implementation challenges, simplify complex requirements, provide alternatives, and support customer and employee experience.
- Mentor and coach staff or teams while influencing stakeholders toward architectural consensus.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in technology solution implementation, technology solutioning, or architecture in a core banking domain such as deposits or loans.
- At least 3 years of experience with microservices design architecture, messaging using MQ or Kafka, Java/J2EE, cloud and infrastructure setup, and end-to-end technology solution or project implementation for a bank.
- Experience in application or solution architecture in financial services, particularly core banking domains such as customer, deposits, or loans, is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, visualization, and presentation communication skills across organizational levels.
- Ability to work effectively across an organization, influence others, and build consensus.
- Strong situational analysis, decision-making, reliability, trustworthiness, honesty, and commitment.
- Experience defining architectures, design principles, technology stacks, and technology solution design diagrams.
- Ability to provide an independent architectural view of projects.
- Strong thought leadership and experience mentoring or coaching staff or teams.
