Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure and application management, monitoring, and operations solutions with a focus on standardization and automation.
- Troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems and address platform reliability, performance, availability, and efficiency issues.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, deployment, and operations tools using automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Support software releases, incident prevention and response, on-call operations, retrospectives, and capacity planning.
- Provide cybersecurity support including vulnerability cleanup, secure server configuration, testing and validation, technical controls, and incident remediation.
- Collaborate with developers, engineering teams, vendors, and client services to deliver reliable technical solutions.
- Work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or some combination of coursework and experience, or extensive related professional experience.
- 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Python for automation scripts, Ansible for configuration management, Terraform for infrastructure as code, Linux, and shell scripting.
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, exercise independent judgment, resolve complex break/fix scenarios, and serve as a resource for less-experienced colleagues.
- Ability to participate in on-call shifts and work variable schedules, including nights and weekends.
