Responsibilities
- Design and build simulation and planning capabilities for exploring hypothetical communications network scenarios.
- Enable users to vary network configurations, conditions, and assumptions and evaluate potential effects.
- Build tools for comparing scenarios, understanding tradeoffs, and identifying risks and opportunities before changes are made.
- Develop scalable and reliable systems for managing and evaluating complex scenarios.
- Collaborate across Product Engineering to integrate simulation and planning into broader product workflows.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Golang, C/C++, or Java.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing production software systems.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, algorithms, testing, and debugging.
- Experience with distributed, data-intensive, computational, or other complex backend systems.
- Preferred: experience with simulation, modeling, experimentation, or planning systems.
- Preferred: experience building systems that represent and evaluate complex or evolving state.
- Preferred: familiarity with networking, telecommunications, geospatial systems, or adjacent domains.
- Applicants must satisfy applicable ITAR/EAR eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled information.
