Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs.
- Build integrations with third-party platforms, external services, and internal systems.
- Design data models, backend workflows, and business logic.
- Build serverless and cloud-native backend applications on AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across backend services.
- Collaborate with Full Stack Engineers on end-to-end product features.
- Own backend development for assigned features and integrations.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation, and release activities.
- Support AI-powered features and Human-in-the-Loop workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of total experience, including 3+ years of backend application development and production support.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining Python-based backend services.
- Strong experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with AWS and cloud-native application development.
- Production experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
- Familiarity with Git-based development workflows.
- Experience with production troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with serverless applications, asynchronous processing, messaging, or event-driven architecture is preferred.
- Exposure to AI-powered product features and Human-in-the-Loop workflows is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and code-quality skills.
