Software Engineer II - Java FullStack
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, code, debug, maintain, and troubleshoot secure software components and applications.
- Write high-quality code using Java and other modern programming or database-querying languages.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation, while validating outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, methodologies, security practices, and operational stability principles.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making.
- Resolve technical problems of basic complexity with limited guidance.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience with React, Angular, AWS, Kafka, Cassandra, cloud microservice development, RESTful API development, GitHub, and Jenkins.
