Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot software components for secure, stable, and scalable technology products.
  • Write secure, high-quality code with limited guidance using at least one programming language.
  • Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when implementing solutions.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating outputs.
  • Apply software development lifecycle tools, processes, and methodologies to improve delivery and automation.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical problems and analyze large, diverse data sets to identify issues and support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, debugging, and code maintenance.
  • Experience developing in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database-querying languages.
  • Experience using and critically evaluating enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Preferred: full-stack Java enterprise application development experience.
  • Preferred: at least two years of Java 17+ experience.
  • Preferred: experience developing microservices packaged into AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service or Elastic Container Service and deployed to EC2 instances.
  • Preferred: experience writing Terraform scripts and deploying to AWS production environments.
  • Preferred: experience with a relational database management system, preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL.
