Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver customer-facing features and services on the Mentat platform and surrounding data services.
- Design, implement, and operate large-scale distributed systems for ingestion, enrichment, transformation, and distribution of networking data.
- Onboard new data sources and collaborate with partner teams across AWS.
- Own operational health, monitoring, incident response, reliability improvements, and production fixes.
- Set technical direction, review designs and code, and mentor other engineers and interns.
- Make pragmatic decisions about storage retention, cost, scalability, and platform architecture.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
