Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the strategic vision for applied AI and Machine Learning.
- Steer the R&D roadmap by identifying and capitalizing on emergent technological opportunities.
- Serve as the principal technical liaison between R&D and executive stakeholders.
- Lead collaborations with product, engineering, and business units to integrate machine learning systems.
- Contribute to the scientific community through publications in academic conferences and journals.
- Mentor and cultivate a culture of scientific rigor among applied scientists.
- Establish frameworks for model evaluation and quantify the business impact of initiatives.
- Institute best practices for the machine learning lifecycle, championing ethical AI.
Requirements
- An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S. preferred) in a quantitative discipline.
- A minimum of 7 - 9 years of post-academic experience in applied science or quantitative research.
- A distinguished track record of solving business-critical problems using a data-driven approach.
- Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, causal inference, and explainable AI.
- Advanced proficiency in applied probability and statistics.
- Expert-level proficiency with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
- Extensive experience implementing advanced neural network architectures.
- Practical application of computer vision and natural language processing methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with large language models and advanced prompt engineering.
- Advanced programming skills in Python and mastery of SQL.
