Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture of a multi-tenant SaaS product across UI, APIs, microservices, data, messaging, caching, and cloud infrastructure.
- Define reference architectures, target-state blueprints, technology roadmaps, architecture principles, design patterns, and technical decision records.
- Drive modernization initiatives including framework upgrades, containerization, observability, zero-trust networking, and platform consolidation.
- Design for scalability, resilience, multi-tenancy, data residency, security, compliance, and cost governance.
- Remain hands-on by prototyping critical components, writing reference implementations, and owning production code for difficult engineering problems.
- Design APIs, service contracts, integrations, data models, schema evolution, caching strategies, event flows, and messaging patterns.
- Own cloud landing-zone architecture covering networking, identity, secrets, storage, managed databases, monitoring, and cost management.
- Define security architecture and partner on threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, penetration-test remediation, and audit response.
- Establish CI/CD, release-management, observability, automated-testing, and quality-gate standards across the engineering estate.
- Lead architecture-level production incident response and turn post-mortem findings into durable design changes.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical escalation support to multiple squads of full-stack engineers, team leads, and senior engineers.
- Mentor architects and engineers and partner with Product Management on roadmap shaping, sizing, sequencing, and feasibility.
Requirements
- 20+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least five years in a formal Architect role on a production SaaS product.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field; MCA/BCA is also considered.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and scaling multi-tier, multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Deep production-level expertise with .NET, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, Web API, IIS, and Windows Server.
- Strong experience with microservices, RESTful API design, API versioning, contract-first design, and API gateway patterns.
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, Angular 12+, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, CSS3, and component-driven SPA architecture.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills including schema design, indexing, query optimization, partitioning, replication, and backup/restore.
- Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across networking, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Key Vault, managed PostgreSQL, monitoring, and cost management.
- Experience with Ubuntu, NGINX, TLS, certificate management, OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, RBAC, and secrets management.
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or an equivalent tool.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum, with experience using Jira, Azure Boards, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Experience defining observability standards with APM, tracing, and logging tools such as Application Insights, Datadog, New Relic, or ELK.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, grow technical talent, and build a culture of ownership and learning.
